Ok.. so what do you do when 8 of your best mates jet off to the year-long-planned buddy trip of your lifetime?

Ok.. so I knew I was gonna join them 2 weeks after they left, but hey.. it felt right for a little dramatism.. :p

AS most people know. I’m not a big fan of flying.. so anytime someone asks me ‘How’s the flight?’ My response will be either:-

i.) Crap

ii.) IT was ok.

Most likely you’ll get the latter response, assuming I’m in a good mood.

So, it’s my second day in Taiwan and so far so good.. i arrived with some surprises waiting for me.. but hey.. that’s life.. what’s important is that i’m FINALLY F**KING HERE!! WOo HOO!!!

Oddly though.. it was only till I had my second drink at this club called ‘Mint’ that I finally accepted that I was actually on holiday. hahah.. wicked!

Hopefully this will be the first of many entries documenting the shennenigans I get up to with the guys.. TIme will see..

If there was anything that I’m actually happy on missing out on 1/3 of the trip is the event that occured on Wednesday nite…

Russell Peters..

Seriously… and everyone knows this.. he rocks! But live and in person.. he totally owns the stage and the audience.. his jokes were fresh and original and his charisma and energy just literally infected the whole hall.. and seriously it’s been a while since the whole multicultural society has been brought together to laugh by an Canadian Indian dude.. I haven’t laughed this much since\.. well.. a friggin long time… Seriously guys.. u missed out.. and I know you’ll probably say that he doesn’t compare to the amount of pimpin’ going on in M’sia and Thailand.. but come on.. laughter is the best drug..

And nearly the majority of the Asian community was there.. bout 2/5 of the hall was filled with Indians.. and there were like 1 white guy to about 40 asians.. this is probably the only time in history that the Asian community in Perth was brought together to laugh at ourselves.. 

Asides from that, watched Casino Royale on Friday.. that too rocked. .. asides from being a bit too long for a Bond movie, it’s a refreshing revamp of the Bond franchise with Daniel Craig taking over the much coveted British Title role… they couldn’t hve picked anyone better for the role made famous by the awesome Sean Connery.. Craig brings a more human Bond to the table with a much needed ruthlessness that was missed since Connery dropped-kicked Oddjob’s ass in Goldfinger… his piercing blue eyes shows he really means business and presents him as a guy that no one wants to f**k with and at one point during the movie when he orders a Vodka Martini and the waiter asks whether he’ll like it ‘Shaken or Stirred’.. he bluntly replies.. ‘Do I look like I really give a damn?’ All in all .. a refreshing entry into the 40-year old franchise and I’m pretty sure that everyone will be looking forward to Daniel Craig’s next outing as the legendary British Spy..

Paid a visit to Metros on Sat… 2 words..  Ridiculous Crap.. the DJ must’ve been on some serious crack lately.. and what the hell was with that wannabe singer midway?!? Ppl were beginning to leave by 2am.. and me, Will and Nita couldn’t believe how ridiculous the music was that nite.. You better step up the place Metros.. you’re losing the people here!

*sigh*.. 5 days to go..

Oh well.. there’s my Elton John Concert on tomorrow..

So prompted by Bryan and managing to convince Des to get off her lazy ass to go out.. we headed towards the beach.. 

Awesome way to catch up but we didn’t go into the water though.. too friggin windy so we pretty much spent it tanningv(or attempting to) on the sun underneath the glorious sun.. 

Man. when most of your best mates are gone.. u literally hve nothing to do.. I pretty much spent the nite at home(yeah.. i didn’t even go to Metros.. :p) watching Four Brothers (not too bad.. not great.. but not too bad either).. and sleeping at an all early time of 1am on a Sat nite…

Sunday.. headed off to the beach again.. determined to get my tan.. I spent pretty much all day in the sun and the sea.. but as the balance must be fulfilled.. not only did i get the full-body tan.. I got the full-body sunburn to go with it…-_-

I’m red all over.. for a idea.. remember the scene in Old School(Classic!) where Will Ferrell dresses up as a mascot and attempts to jump thru a ring of fire.. only to catch fire and burn.? And when he emerges from the shower.. he’s as red as a lobster? Yup… that’s how bad I was… -_-.. I’m in pain all over.. soothing myself with Aloe Vera Gel (thanks for the suggestion Genrai!).. u can actually listen to the sizzling sound when i applied it.. although i guess it was my fault.. to an extent.. you see…

I didn’t apply sunscreen.. :p

I figured.. since I don’t tan or burn easily.. and i haven’t had a sunburn in like 9 years… think i gave myself more credit that i deserved….

Urrgghh… I’m beginning to peel now..

Hhmmm.. think I’m going to the beach again this weekend.. :p.. (with the sunscreen of course!)

11.5 days more… AArrrgghhh!!
